✅ Step 2: Choose Your Local NFA/Class III Dealer

Suppressors cannot be shipped directly to you. You must choose a local FFL dealer with an SOT (Special Occupational Taxpayer license) — also known as a Class III/NFA dealer — to handle your transfer.

You can search for local dealers using the ATF’s FFL tool or ask around at local gun shops.

✅ Step 3: We Submit BATFE Transfer Paperwork to Your Dealer

Once your order is placed and your chosen FFL/SOT dealer provides their license to us, we submit the transfer paperwork (Form 3) to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE). This transfers the suppressor from us to your local dealer.

We use the ATF e-Forms system to speed up the process, which typically takes 4 to 90 days for approval.

✅ Step 4: BATFE Approves the Transfer – We Ship to Your Dealer

Once the Form 3 transfer is approved by the ATF, we ship your suppressor to your local dealer.

✅ Step 5: You Complete Your NFA Transfer with Your Dealer

Your dealer will contact you when your suppressor arrives. You’ll then:

  • Complete your Form 4 paperwork (your dealer assists with this)
  • Submit fingerprints and a passport-style photo
  • Choose your ownership type: Individual, Trust, or Corporation
  • Pay the $200 NFA tax stamp fee

Once the ATF approves your Form 4 (typically in 4–90 days, depending on e-Form status), your dealer will notify you and complete the final transfer.

🎉 At that point, it’s yours. Time to enjoy quiet, legal shooting!

First-Time Suppressor Buyer? Here's What You Need to Know:

🔹 What Is a Class III/NFA Dealer?

A Class III dealer is a federally licensed gun dealer authorized to sell and transfer NFA items like suppressors, Short-Barreled Rifles (SBRs), Short-Barreled shotguns (SBSS), Any Other Weapons (AOWs) and machine guns. Only these dealers can legally receive and transfer suppressors to buyers.

🔹 How to Find a Class III Dealer Near You

Use the ATF's FFL Search tool or ask at your local range or gun store.
Make sure they hold a valid
SOT license (some FFLs do not).

Once found:

  1. Contact them to confirm they’ll handle your suppressor transfer.
  2. Ask about their transfer fee (these range by location).
  3. If they agree, ask them to email us a copy of their FFL and SOT license.

We’ll handle the paperwork with the ATF once we receive those documents.
